Captains Day 2025

This years Captains Day took place on Sunday 3rd August 2025.

£1,256 was raised in aid of East Anglian Air Ambulance.

Captains Charity Hazard - Effective 28 May 2025

The Captains have introduced a new £1 fine for members that go into the water hazard in front of the 4th Green. The fine is capped at £1 per round, regardless of how many times you go into the hazard. Payments to be made in the charity pot in the clubhouse.

Preferred lies - Updated 15 October 2025

Preferred lies - Winter Rules (preferred lies) are now in operation until further notice. You may move your ball on the fairway (not the first cut) within 6 inches of its original position no nearer the hole.

Bunkers GUR - Updated 15 November 2025

Update Saturday 15th November 2025 - Following further work, supported largely by Craig, please find a list of the new updated local rules that are in place with immediate effect until further notice:

All Bunkers except the following now in play

Essex

Hole 3 - Back of Green, Hole 5 - Pot fairway left & Greenside, Hole 9 - Fairway left x 2 Top of hill before tree gap

Cambs

Hole 14 - All bunkers, Hole 15 - Greenside left, Hole 17 - Fairway

All these bunkers will be GUR until further improvements have been made.

All bunkers that are in play now have working rakes in them and all GUR bunkers have had them removed and GUR signs clearly placed.

Please remember to RAKE THE BUNKERS you have played from to help to continue the support of their maintenance

Please apply rule 16 correctly and do not move your ball to its new relief position until your playing partners have agreed with your use of the rule.
