Mssrs Garland, Lewis, Lawson, Watts, Tomkins and Handscombe secured a notable victory on 28 June in the county Jock Stewart knockout event to secure a semi-final slot. This followed a 3-1 win over Menzies in the Cambridge Friendly League the previous day by Mssrs Patterson, Black, Clifton, Chamberlain, Redgewell, Jackson, Reilly and Borham
