11 July 2004: Junior Champion successfully defends title Adam Barker has successfully defended his title of Heydon Junior Champion with a masterful round of 34 points (gross 77). He beat his twin brother Scott Barker into 2nd place - Scott having recently secured the Men's Club Championship. Playing off the Essex and Cambs courses (men's white tees), Adam got off to a slow start but soon made up for things with a birdie-2 on the Essex 4th and birdie-3 on the 7th to turn with 15 points. He then birdied the 1st hole of the Cambs course with a put from 25 feet and was then uncatchable completing a back-9 of 19 points (37 gross).
