In the tightest finish for years, the Winter League finished on 19 Feb with victory for Ken Harvey, Bob Lawrence and Steve Simpkin (pictured below). Their victory is all the more remarkable because they won the overall title without winning any individual round (including a second-place, two thirds and two fourths). Just a single point separated the top three teams. Team 8's late surge into second place came with victory in the final round shooting gross 63 in the scramble format for a net 59.9 edging out Team 1 by one tenth of a shot! The Barker twins teamed with Bob Bridges just failed to secure the trophy which they won with their father last year.
