Medal and Trophy Winners Shield, 2009

The Medal & Trophy Winners Shield is the premier Men's event to mark the end of the summer golfing season.  It is also the final event contributing to the Ickleton Lion Order of Merit.  In order to play in the event, you need to qualify in the preceding year through one or more of several routes:

  • any winner of either division in medals and mid-week medals (up to and including October)

  • any winner of a men's single competition including Captain's Shoot-Out and summer K/O

  • winner of the Club Championship (net and gross)

  • the highest place man in any mixed singles trophy

  • the top 10 in the Order or Merit following the Oct medal (after points have been awarded to summer singles and doubles KOs)

  • the holder of the Medal & Trophy Winner's Shield
