The Men's section competes in four main events with other clubs in the Cambridge area region:
- the Cambridge Friendly Golf League - 4 home & 4 away fixtures in greensomes format - and if we top our division at the end of the season, a play-off with the winner of the other division
- the Derek Burridge Challenge K/O Trophy organised by the Cambridge Friendly League
- the Jock Stewart K/O Trophy organised by the Cambridge Area Golf Union (CAGU)
- the Goddard Trophy for scratch teams in a KO format organised by CAGU

| On 5 April, Heydon eased passed Thorpe Wood (last years losing semi-finalist) in the first round of the CAGU club KO 'Jock Stewart' competition.
