Size of fieldApart from medals, it must be known as reliably as possible before the first tee-off how many OOM points are at stake.  Therefore, the size of field is determined as the number of entrants who have paid their entry fee for a competition (this includes any late withdrawals/no shows). Also included are any competitors who play but are subsequently DQed for not submitting their entry fee and/or not signing the competitions book.
For mixed singles events, the number of competitors for OOM purposes is the number of male competitors – and only men get OOM points!
Medals with two divisions are counted as one field for OOM purposes

Other points:Anyone DQ'd or DNRing will not receive any OOM points for that event
If the entry for either the Linton or Nick Willy Trophies is less that 10, the entire field will be combined for OOM purposes (and play the same format)
Count-back is only used for 1st and 2nd places
Fractional points are always rounded up
