In another windy day at Heydon, the winners were those that could minimise the number of disaster holes and most players struggled resulting in a competition standard scratch of 75!

Notable performances in addition to those of the top players above include:

  • Gordon Kerr managing to middle the tree on the Cambs 1st fairway - not once but twice: first from the tee and again from 30 yards
  • not a single player in the field managed to par the Cambs 7th off the blue tee - except that Malcolm Knobel-Forbes (who else!)managed a birdie there in an otherwise forgettable round!
