PTC Cup

During January and February next year the Club will be introducing the PTC Cup which is a four event competition – 2 greensomes and 2 foursomes – the aim being to give members opportunities to play the formats that the Club encounters when playing the Cup and League fixtures organized by the County. We would like to encourage those of you who participated in this year's matches to enter in your pairs and for other members to combine as pairs for future consideration, in order to help the process of building a solid Team base for future competitions.
Rules:
  • pairs will play four events between 1st Jan and 21st Feb - you simply need any other pair in the competition to play at the same time in order to mark each others cards
  • the first round will be foursomes (played before 25th Jan 09) - the winner of this round going forward to the Daily Mail Foursomes tournament
  • format is medal play in all four rounds
  • handicaps as per CONGU rules (click here): half combined for foursomes; greensomes is 60% of lower hcp + 40% of higher hcp)
  • same partners throughout - no ringers
  • points awarded on a league basis for winners and places over the four rounds
  • trophy and cash prizes for winners

Entry:

  • £3 per round per pair paid prior to each round
  • sign-up on sheet on notice board
